[Live Bond Hearing -- continuation from Wednesday]

From the video it was Reeves who attacked the retired cop by knocking the popcorn into his face. No wonder he got shot. Even at 71 the retired cop still had good reflexes.
Edit that to Oulson that attacked.
Wow....you can’t be serious....
Suicide by cop trifecta .....really !!!
Please tell me you are either kidding or don't own a gun.
- and piss-poor judgment to go along with his reflexes. For the record, Reeves is the name of the retired cop, Oulson the victim. But its pretty obvious to me, Reeves was ready to shoot Oulson, even before that popcorn was thrown. That's becoming very clear.
YouTube video of theater shooting here:

So, to be entirely clear, you think it's acceptable for a retired cop to shoot someone dead and endanger the people around him, over some thrown popcorn? Did Mrs. Oulson also deserve to be shot? Did the people around Oulson deserve to be endangered also? Reeves pretty much ruined everyone’s day, with an escalation of aggression.
Not that you're alone. The total approval of police retired or active, shooting anyone for almost anything, has become almost universally accepted in this country.
Ping to 65, it has direct link to theater shooting video on YouTube.
Yep —
The videotape corroborated the witness statements about the popcorn and the approximate time frame among other things.
It showed that Reeves had taken his gun out of his pocket on his way back from the lobby, no doubt in anticipation of using it on the guy in front of him.
It was already drawn and in his hand and in his lap so all he had to do was point and fire. He then continued to antagonize the guy in front of him so that he could have the opportunity to shoot him.
The video showed him to be not only a cowardly murderer but a blatant liar as well.
In Texas there is an exception to self-defense called "provoking the difficulty." It means that you can't provoke someone, then claim you feared they were going to attack you, and "defend" yourself with deadly force.
Wait a minute here meatloaf.
You say the murder happens within a blink of an eye?
But the incident was much longer was it not?
My point is, wasn't Reeves already in a heated argument with the victim and then went to go complain to management minutes prior to the shooting? Did Reeves load up or possibly ready his weapon for a quick grab for round 2 ?
See 69
I see ya picked up on that...
I am awaiting meatloaf’s response.
He had to have that gun in his hand and ready to fire. From the witnesses I heard, there was an exchange of words. I would say that Reeves helped to escalate matters, and he didn’t recoil in fear for his own life, he leaned forward and stuck his arm straight out when he shot Oulson. I’ll send you the YouTube link to that Air Force Corporal’s testimony. I know you have seen it, but might want to bookmark it for further discussion.
If true, that also would seem to establish the likelihood the shooter after leaving his seat to complain to management about the victim, readied his weapon for easy access for round 2, and returned to his seat.
The Air Force Col.’s testimony is pretty convincing. Go to about 5 minutes in to see the start of his testimony.

I see someone tagged this thread with “barking moonbat” as a key word.
Curious why and who did that.
The admin moderators know who and we all know why,
Yep
I caught that yesterday — I’m surprised that the media did not pick it up.

Heres what the timeline looks like from the video:
1:14:56 Reeves arrive & sit down in theatre.
1:23:26 Reeves gets up to go complain to management.
1:26:20 Reeves returns from lobby & sits down.
1:26:24 Reeves kicks the back of Oulson’s seat and there is a flash on the tape — perhaps his own cellphone flying off his lap.
1:26:26 Reeves then leans forward & says something to Oulson & then sits back.
1:26:36-37 Oulson reaches over & takes Reeves popcorn & tosses it back at him as Mrs Reeves leans forward to see.
1:26:37-38 As Oulson is taking his arm back, Reeves quickly leans forward pushing his arm out & fires & then sits back.

Reeves clearly was ready to escalate the confrontation. Witnesses testify to that. Look at how Reeves talked to his own wife after the shooting; telling her to “shut her fu#king mouth.”, according to the sheriff deputy who confiscated his gun. Even Reeves wife didn't think that the shooting was necessary, and told him so. For anyone still supporting this Reeves clown, listen to the deputy testify in above YouTube video.
While I agree that he could have been more polite/courteous, I still have trouble with that turning into a death sentence. I believe the guy with the gun felt empowered and decided to act rashly because he knew he had the upper hand. Some on FR (not you - the usual "cops and legally armed citizens can do no wrong" types) seem to think that killing the dude for bad manners is justified - I certainly don't want them at my side if SHTF; they're likely to do some stupid "because I can" killing.
