Obama needs to practice saying “I am a lame duck”...ha. A+++
It went from -1 to 24 today. Almost a heat wave.
My sisterinlaw had a tiny shower for me and my law school friends had one down here for me. Both at someone’s house potluck and a cake. Xs hubs sis had one for me in upstate ny at my inlaws house. Paula was my maid of honor and I was her matron. She has two sisters 10+ yrs older. I imagine her family had one and maybe her med school friends. I didn’t attend any. Unlike most girls today Xsteen actually needs a shower since she lives at home and xsfiance has dreck for housewares.
The cub had the bakery drape satin ribbon on the top layer in their HS colors, to remind my SIL they had been best friends since then, when he had been on the football team, and she was in the band. He married a girl he met at UT, but it only lasted a year-the cub hated her for treating her friend badly, and the feeling was mutual.
Their first names are similar, and the ex had a friend who was the catering manager at the bakery who made the wedding cake, so there are two ways it might have happened-the ex had it done as a gotcha-likely-or it was accidental because of the similar names-not likely. Either way, the cake got served with no troublemaking ribbon, a few flowers and the figures on top moved around a bit...
Thank you! It actually got up to 34 here by 4PM-but is supposed to be near 60 tomorrow...
Oops-the ribbon was supposed to have the cub’s and the groom’s names on it-when the box was opened, we saw that the ribbon had the groom’s and the ex’s names on it instead-it was a bad few seconds while we tried to decide what to do...
Oh I absolutely do! I was actually proud that Dave knew that! But yes, your daughter is too young to be dealing with this and it is really sad that the girls are doing this to her and to the bride!
It is 45 and the sun is shining-there are supposed to be “seasonal” temperatures-whatever that is-the next few days...
If the season is winter I say booooo! 39 days until Spring.
We are in the middle of yet another snowstorm. When will it all end?
Soon, I hope!
I’m tired of the frigid cloudy weather, too-today, it is 63, and I’ve been walking around outside in my bare feet, which I prefer-when it is warm enough, I leave my feet bare, so the soles of my feet are unfashionably tough-as long as I don’t go down where all the thornbushes and burrs are by the river, I don’t need shoes.
Tomorrow, it is supposed to be 48, with the cold coming back, into the 20’s Monday night, possible snow/sleet/rain Tuesday, blah, blah, blah, then warmer on Wednesday-I really hope for a long, cool-but-not-freezing spring, even if it is late...
We got another 3 inches or so today. My driveway is getting smaller and smaller. Two tracks running up the hill and a cleard off flat spot for stopping.
Freezing here again. I wouldn’t mind it so much if it was sunny.
Of course you meant to write, “a FLAUTIST whose music coruscated throughout the concert hall.”
sounds like a redneck driveway. ;^)
ours added up to a couple of inches, but it snowed for hours yesterday. I stayed home from my meetings to veg.
sure, whatever. A+++
Thread coming had hideous traffic this AM just got in. Bear with me everyone.
