As lying as our media is, they don’t need to lie to portray Russia as a run down dump.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think Sochi is a dump . . . but in order to see how ridiculous an argument is, look at its obverse. I don’t think that, if Russia was the most pro-homo nation on the face of the planet, yellow water coming out of taps would be downplayed or ignored.
