The LibDem party really has the crazies over there, dont they. Never mind nursing being a low-paying occupation, are you kidding me?starting pay even in the UK is around $46K. (And how did Willott get to be a minister after all?)

Everyone knows that pink is only for boys who think that they are girls in boys bodies and NFL players. Hrumpf! Hrumpf!

I'm not quite sure being a nurse is a low-paying profession. I have an aunt who is a nurse and she has a vacation home and is always driving around a new car. She does very well.
Also, pink is not necessarily a feminine color. I never understood where that notion came from.

This person must not be a parent. You don’t “force” girls to play with dolls and dress like princesses - that’s what they want to do.
To: Olog-hai
This is hateful toward color-blind transvestites.

Pretty soon the only politically correct sexual orientation will be lesbian or gay. I used to ask my Socialist sister if she subscribed to the Voluntary Human Extinction Program. She never understood.

It isn’t. I already mentioned the Band 5 pay grade for graduate nurses going into the NHS, the range being $35,000$46,000 (higher in London IIRC).

Evidently your kids belong to the government in the UK too.

You know what? I’ll just for kicks grant everything she says. But in the end, our poor economically suppressed daughters will be lovely, faithful, happy women, and our emotionally repressed sons will be virtuous, strong, dutiful men.
I don’t know what the other side will wind up with.

This stupid, leftist-feminist myth about girls being dressed in pink and forcing them to play with dolls which steers them away from traditionally male-dominated professions has been around for forty-fifty years. It is the complete and utter denial of hard-wired, human nature which makes the sexes different.
In the last twenty years or more, there have been a number of books thoroughly disproving this hackneyed fem-Nazi lie. "Brain Sex" by Jessel and Moir, and "Adam's Rib" by Robert Poole are two books on the subject. Sorry fem-Nazis, the sexes are different.

Parents who dress their daughters in pink and force them to play with dolls are holding back the economy, a Government minister has said. In Great Britain, it looks like they live in Obama World too.

I have three very young granddaughters, all four and under. While I’m trying to get them interested in sports, they love to play with dolls, doll houses, and other girl-oriented toys. If I don’t get out the toy doll house and toy oven, they get real perturbed.

"Great Britain"
Judging by the comments slamming the idiot writer, it seems most Brits think it's a load of codswallop just like we do.

They may very well play sports when they are older. I saw plenty of girly girls who also loved their soccer, or whatever.
