Makes me mad when families living here, no matter their homeland, do not speak English to their kids. My grandparents came from Hungary and it is totally foreign to my mother and myself.
I do have a burr under my saddle for the assimilation process when years ago I was told I wasn’t qualified for a good paying job because I didn’t understand Spanish and wasn’t willing to learn it. I guarantee that I was the MOST qualified except for not knowing a foreign language in the United States!
