Did you know that the SEC has the most players in this seasons Super Bowl?
Yes, college footballs most dominant conference has 31 players dotted among Seattle and Denvers rosters. This gives it an eight-player advantage over the second-place finisher Pac-12, according to Jon Solomon of AL.com.
Its yet another notch in the SECs big, bad belt.
Since the Super Bowl has been going on for almost 50 yearsway longer than the SECs current reigncould it be that teams from other conferences are the real all-time leaders?
To answer this, we scoured Pro-Football References Super Bowl rosters for all 48 games in history.

I always trick people when I ask them how many NFL Championships the Minnesota Vikings won.
Most will say “none”, because they know they lost all four SBs they played in.
But they actually did win the last pre-merger NFL Championship.
My favorite Vikings trivia question: When they traded Tarkington to the Giants, who did they trade him for?
That would, I believe, would be Penn State, even before they were Big 10.
If you mean the four draft picks the Vikings received for Tarkington, that’s an easy one. If you want to know who those draft picks turned out to be, that would take more research.
One of the most frustrating things about having lived for all XLVIII games is the trivia I remember that is tough to verify.
Case in point: As Max McGee crossed BEHIND the goalpost to haul in the first “Super Bowl” score, I distinctly heard the announcer mention that Max McGee had been a jet pilot. Years later, when I mentioned this on a radio call-in show, Will McDonough (the late/famous Boston Globe sportswriter) told me I was probably wrong.
It took me years of searching on the internet to verify this fact. By then, both McGee and McDonough had died.
1967 seems so long ago!
I recall it being called super bowl from jump street
I was there..10 years old....played football myself then..watching with former Giant....my father........seeing..Bart Starr....Paul Horning.....Otis ...
....Dawson
Packers of course won and Vince ruled....a real coach
And it was called Super Bowl by everyone
I thought I read U of Iowa was tops or near the top in graduates.
Lol, and I am not a hockey fan. Too funny!
“10 years old, huh?,”
Man, he is a kid!
Paul Hornung, always a favorite even if he did play for the mackerel snappers.
Yeah, he is a kid!
And, BTW, Paul Hornung is a faithful RC.
That’s why his mom made him attend that University!
