There is a third boulder near the road, two fields down, to the photo’s right.

If you look at the third photo, you can see the squished remains of Chuck The Chicken whose famous last words were, “That’s the biggest damn grape I’ve ever seen rolling down a hi.....”

Doesn’t a ‘near miss’ mean a hit?

If you go to the 5th and 6th pics at the link, there’s one of the rocks that just came down the hill, right next to a large rock that had obviously been there a while.
Did no one wonder how that got there?

It looks like two rocks made a recent roll down the hill. Check out the one that stopped just short of the back of the house.

narrowly missed a farmhouse, destroyed a barn and came to a stop in vineyards.
A second boulder stopped just feet (about a meter) behind the traditional stone farmhouse in the rocky region of Alto-Adige.

Looks like God playing marbles.
