I can imagine how hard this is to do without upsetting the cat's system. Have read how sudden diet changes can kill cats.

Our vet keeps ragging on us to slim down our Siamese, but it is hard as he is an indoor cat with limited exercise opportunity. We give him low calorie food and watch that he does not overeat, but he is not losing much of anything.

I play the 'William Tell Overture' at high volume first thing in the morning. It gets me and my catz moving. ;)
