yes--that is so... German settlement goes back to the time when Texas was under Spanish rule and Mexican rule... many settled in Mexico City and Veracruz... Frida Kahlo and Vicente Fox both are part German... a lot of Irish also settled in Mexico... tracing my maiden name, i learned that it is a common name among Irish-Mexicans...
