I sleep about 50 feet from a lakeshore and it makes lots of noise on the cold nights. I even feel it in the ground sometimes.

Best to ascribe it to a supernatural cause, instead of simple physics.

Sometimes I wonder if we've really left the 1400s behind.

We're having a witch burning here next week.
