Thank you, when you break down the chunks, is it almost a powder? I have quite a bit of mesquite charcoal, after a BBQ and a lot of mesquite ash, how does that figure in adding to the soil?

I don't break it down too fine. A little less than dime size is good enough. I don't add much in the way of ash, because we are alkali here anyway.
