Odd, I thought private firearms were not allowed in Mexico. Or is ownership just severely restricted?
Seems like a step in the right direction though - officially allowing citizens to arm themselves and protect themselves against the drug cartels.

Ha.. even if Mexico “outlawed” private firearms.. I don’t think there’s much the Government there can do when the citizens start arming themselves.

I'm pretty sure there is a permit system in Mexico. It's obviously selective.
My friend owns a small business so he may have a reason to carry...
