A fact : They make movies about the 1000 yd. shots , but in the real world. Look around you how many times would you be able to make a 1000-yd. shot? Most shots would be and are made in the 100-300 yd range .
Concealment and knowing where and when to take the shot will get you back home.

Very true. Your geographic area matters ALOT. I live in the mountains, and I’d have a difficult time even finding 1,000 yards/meters to make such a shot. 300-(maybe)750 would be the average max around here. I suppose one could get a 1,000 yard/meter shot out of a mountain-to-mountain scenario. I wonder what effect on ballistics, firing from a very high place to a very low place would have. I’d imagine there would be a change in ‘bullet drop’ from that of flat terrain.
