I respect that. When we decided we were going to *get* a dog again, we went to every Lab rescue place we could find....we even attended adoption events. Not one had a *puppy* as depicted in the commercial.

We found the handlers who brought their *foster* Labs to these events were like *hoarder*s. That’s the only word I can think of to use.....they no more wanted to let go of the *rescues* than a 5 y/o kid with a lollipop. Most of the dogs we spent time with had some very strange *neurosis.*

We ended up at a small breeder....and are pleased [mostly] with our Lab-shedder :0

Oh, there are rescues, and then there are hoarders . . . LiL is the real thing.

Kristie and Drew had a whole LITTER of Lab pups that somebody just dumped. And they've had pregnant female Labs and wound up with pups as well.

But all my Labs are from breeders - small hobby breeders and one big-time field trial breeder.
