She got permission. The Air Force also used Chad Henning, who like this gal graduated from the AFA for recruiting purposes. The Navy used David Robinson, who went on to an NBA Hall of Fame career. Roger Staubach, Dallas Cowboys Hall of Famer was a Navy Vietnam vet. Rocky Bleier, the great running back for the Steelers was also a Vietnam vet, wounded in action. I don’t think I can remember a Steeler game when Bleier’s military service was not mentioned. From combat infantry, to cheerleader, it’s all fine for recruiting.........

I never meant to suggest that she didn't have official "permission" or that her superiors weren't,at least, willing to look the other way.The point I was trying to make was that I could see where one of her superiors might have said to her...off the record...that what she was doing wasn't usually associated with the behavior of "an officer and a gentleman" and doing it,while not specifically forbidden by the UCMJ or regulations,might hurt her chances for promotion and/or the more desirable assignments.IMO comparing her activities with David Robinson and Staubach is comparing apples and oranges.

Hey...I rose to the lofty rank of SP5 during my stellar military "career" so what do I know about what goes on in officer country? Maybe I'm just full of beans.
