Grab and squeeze a supermarket loaf of bread. The less squishy the better. Some breads billed as whole wheat are quite squishy.
The biggest scam is calling bread "wheat bread". This fools some into thinking they are eating some whole wheat bread. In reality its just a load of white flour with a smattering of whole wheat
I hate the breads that fall apart in a sandwich. I don’t know, but I’ll bet they are the ones worst for you.
Actually, "whole wheat" is a meaningless marketing term. "Whole grain" is what you want to look for because there are specific criteria for the term. The two are not synonymous.
