St Ronnie just got home from school right before 8:00 pm - After being released at 1:30 early because of the Atlanta area snow. That was for a usual 20 minute, 10 mile drive.

Everything’s still blocked up all across the region. Some 200 kids are still at the schools in Marietta GA, more elsewhere and a few thousands (nobody knows) in school buses on the roads - can’t get up the hill in front of them, can’t get up the hill behind, can’t turn around anyway because cars are blocked in on all sides not anywhere anyway.

And that is exactly why this are closed schools today - not that the storm was that bad but they didn’t want the liability in case....and no bus driver wants to be stuck in some of those houston neighborhoods!!!

I have to wonder why they didn’t cancel school in the first place. In Washington they do at a hint of it in the forecast and y’all are a lot farther south.
