I have had NO phone or cable bill for nearly 3 years now... but still have phone and cable type service. For a while I was running that just on a DSL connection that was VERY cheap but still got phone, cable, etc just fine. Cost to get in was about $80 total about 3 years ago and not looking back now.

I'm a ways up in the sticks. Cable is a half mile away. I'm too far from Central Office for DSL. Local TV due to terrain is impossible. I use land line phone for internet, medical, & security reasons { my phone needs to work especially when power is out} and a cell phone for when I'm gone and can get a better signal. The TV signal issue is why I started out with C-Band.
