I don’t discuss politics on FB. It’s a tool for staying in touch with friends and family across a distance, to share interesting articles, and look at pictures if each other’s pets and children. It’s also a very valuable marketing took for those of us who have a small business—great free advertising. I have no expectation of privacy on FB. I’m presenting a carefully-crafted public image for potential clients, and though it is not untrue, it has no resemblance to the argumentative conservative OTTB Mare you all know and love here on FR! ;-) On FB I’m pleasant and agreeable.

That’s the right approach. FB has its uses, but they are personal, not political. My FB friends are real-life friends also, so that keeps the arguments to a bare minimum. :)

Facebook is far more politically informative than FR. I use it to keep in touch with family and friends AND to promote issues of importance to me. I also follow many fine conservatives. Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Allen West, Herman Cain, Victoria Jackson, etc all do a fine job of informing and educating. My pet subjects are the Constitution, 2nd Amendment, Pro-life and defeating and lambasting liberals. Also, follow a host of tea party organizations.
