The Grammies are purportedly an award ceremony for musical achievement, and here we see it being used in a blatantly political and propagandist manner, far beyond any previous politicizations of the event. Earlier today, at a family birthday event, my supposedly Catholic sisters were just so gaga about this, they couldn’t wait to get home and tune in.

I read in a news article that the Muzzies threatened to blow away Madonna if she did a concert in Israel. She bulked to the threat only because by that time she had Lordes and Rocco.
