It’s all about Tolerance™.
To a Conservative the word ‘tolerance’ means ‘casual indifference’.
To tolerate something means to ignore it, or at least not actively oppose it.
But to a Progressive ‘tolerance’ means ‘celebratory approval’.
To be Tolerant™ one must make it absolutely clear that one fully supports the idea in question. To be anything less than 100% approving is to risk being branded Intolerant™”. To be Intolerant™ is to risk being considered a Hater!™. And to be branded a Hater™ is a fate worse than death to a Progressive.
