Yes, I got a Chromecast a few weeks ago. What do you suggest I do for portable content? I want to have plenty of movies on it for viewing on the plane and in case I get stranded at an airport. Do you know of a way to rip a DVD from my PC to the tablet?

What must have apps do you suggest?

Thanks.

I’ve never tried ripping DVDs from my computer, but if I was going to do it, after I’ve loaded it to my computer, try uploading it to the video portion of your tablet. There may be copyright issues, so you may not be able to copy a DVD.

As far as Apps, I have Drudge loaded, I’m a member of Netflix, so I’ve loaded that app, You Tube, I don’t know what kind of games you like, but I like word games, so I’ve uploaded apps that I can play word games. Do a Google or Bing search for Android apps and you should be able to pick some you like. Also Pandora, Tune in Radio, in which you can pick up just about any radio station anywhere in the world. I love listening to that at night. You tube has some movies and a lot of old TV shows. I Don’t know how old you are, but in my world, I like TV shows from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Hope this helps.

The android forum has great tips for putting movies on you N7. You will have to download an app and there are a couple choices the posters recommend.

I’m going to give it a go myself.
