I run Fedora, which is a little more user-unfriendly than many distros, so I do spend some time with maintennance, mainly because I like to check to see what updates are available rather than just letting it do it automatically. I don't take all kernel updates because I don't like rebooting. I'm still thinking about the F20 upgrade. I'm on 18 at the moment, which I really resisted for a long time, because I don't like what the Fedora folks did to transient mount paths.
