Jersey City congressional hopeful: ‘Survivor’ cop should be fired for being a ‘trickster, liar’
The Jersey City man making a quixotic bid to unseat Rep. Donald Payne Jr. is calling on Mayor Steve Fulop to fire the cop who won this season’s “Survivor.”
Aaron W. Fraser, who is challenging Payne in the June 3 Democratic primary, said “Survivor” winner Tony Vlachos, 40, showed himself to be a “trickster, liar, backstabber and dealer” on the 28th season of the hit CBS reality show.
Fraser, who first called for Vlachos’ firing on his website Thursday, told The Jersey Journal that Vlacho should be held to a higher standard because he is a police officer whose sworn testimony has sent people to prison.
Vlachos won “Survivor: During the game, he swore on his family members, dead or alive, and jury members called him a backstabber and a liar before declaring him the winner of the $1 million prize.
On his website, Fraser accuses Vlacho of “chicanery” and “betrayal.”
“I am not only asking for the immediate firing of Vlachos, I am also asking that a special prosecutor look at all the cases that he has been involved in where the individual went to prison or was convicted of a crime based on his testimony in court or police report,” Fraser wrote.
