Well to be fair, how many of our own prayers are more like the latter than the former?
Another thing that isn't mentioned is the age she was at the time she prayed — my little sister was reprimanded for praying about a die-roll on a board-game (when she was about six, IIRC) and it struck me as a little bit hypocritical: if God cares enough to count the hairs on one's head, and [in the person of Jesus] said let the little children come to me
, why wouldn't He listen to what a little child considers important? (Or, another way to say it, if God is untrustworthy in the little things, why should you trust Him for the big things.)
