Wait for court date to know the whole story. Stupid, but she left her phone for good reason and if they’re tearing up her yard, maybe they’re going to tear up her children. Parents forget that time flies when you’re using computer, on the phone, or intent on solving a real problem, so we need to not do these things unless we have a spouse home - have a spouse. It’s hard to stop that urge to just quickly take care of some business “real quick”, and kids die (like in the tub).

That “child” should be delivered to the “Child Protective Services” permanently! He made his choice and will most certainly now be better ‘serviced’ than by his mother.

Many years ago a friend of mine gave a woman and her small child a ride home from a birthday party. He stopped to go into the store and returned to find the police at his car asking him why there was a child left alone in the car. Apparently the woman got out of the car and went into another store in the shopping center. Even though HE didn't leave the child alone HE was arrested and spent the night in jail, had to pay over 5k in legal expenses. True story.
