It's an old question, and to some a first-date necessity: Are you a dog person or a cat person? In their respective roles as both work animals and pets (and sometimes even gods), dogs and cats have lived alongside humans for thousands of years. Meanwhile, the persistent dogs versus cats comparison has been running a parallel course.

Crazy old cat Lady
Looked it up I cannot find anything. Please send links!
oh yeah darn cats
I love how you put that! Very well said.
I like both dogs and cats, but cats are quiet, (and the noises they do make are usually cute.) They are just the right size to pick up and cuddle. They don't have to bathed or walked. You can leave them for a day or two and they're okay. And you usually have to earn their affection, which makes me respect them. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when a cat comes to like and trust me. I think they are the ideal pets.
I love that story. Your kitty had her own timetable and no one was going to rush her!
Cats ARE extremely smart. My last cat knew exactly what “no” meant. If he was getting ready to jump on a counter, I would look him in the eye and say “No” quietly but firmly. He would proceed to backtalk me a little, LOL:
“No.” “MEOW!” “No.” “MEOW!” No.”
But 99.8% of the time, he listened.
Thank you.
I agree with everything you said.
Google “cats brain parasites”.
No such word as "mennor" exists.
I have both. The cats can be left alone for 2 days, just make sure enough food is left out and enough water. If the dog was left alone for more than 9 hours, sh*t everywhere and damaged furniture. Dogs are definitely a lot more work. The cats are great hunters - no vermin anywhere after about a 1 year period. The dog just likes to eat and be happy. Wouldn’t trade in either.
Uhhh - 5 days??? The cat prob thought you were dead. If I am away any longer than 2 days I will have a friend stop in the house, and they get to raid the fridge and steal my dvd's as a bonus. The dog of course has to be boarded and I have found a great boarder who has 3 size separated play areas to let them run around.
Yes, they are. My cats figured out all on their own how to open doors, pulling them open with their paws. The Lab, being bigger, will just walk into the door and shove it open.
Great Pics!
I love our four footed friends!
Me too, though I have issues with dogs that jump on you and slobber all over the place. Which is another reason I prefer cats.
However, I have to say any animals require time and care, of which sometimes I resent the intrusion of my Big Tom, who persists in grabbing my arm til I address his wants of the moment! From dinner time til late at night I play the role of “Door Keeper”....in and out and in and out! Ha!
I live with Catman, so now you’ve heard of cat men. Sorta.
I adopted Catman at the shelter four years ago, we’re inseparable. He’s a good man to have around, cuddles nicely, but doesn’t take out the garbage.
