There was a book published 15 or 20 years ago (forgot the title, but I have it at home) which claimed that at least one of Kennedy’s wounds was caused by an AR-15 round most likely fired accidentally by a Secret Service agent immediately after the first round from the Book Depository hit Kennedy.

You must be referring to Mortal Error: The Shot That Killed JFK. I have a copy of it, it's an intriguing read.

a book of bunk published by a profiteering hack...the whole theory was disproven by this frame in the Bronson film of the assassination ...the frame is at the instant of the head shot.... the yellow arrow points to the head of the accused Secret Service agent, he is sitting down and not firing his AR-15...plus this frame indicates there would have had to been a whole lot of blind witnesses if they didn't see that happen ...for instance Charles Brehm must have been 5- 10ft away from Agent Hickey when he supposedly accidentally shot his gun (he's the guy in the tan jacket on the curb)

Fatal Error I think it was called.
Read the book last year, was free on Amazon Prime. Made a good case. The head shot might of came from the AR, but the two other wounds from Oswald were probably not survivable.

Yes, and I believe the SS agent in question sued that author for defamation and won a payout, as the assertion couldn’t be supported by evidence.
