Harry has been married to Jill (Jill Goodacre, one of the original Victoria’s Secrets models)for 20 years and still calls her the “girl of his dreams”. Isn’t that sweet? Ryan Seacrest has even mentioned her name on Idol. Those are their three daughters. I just love a guy who is so into his family. There is nothing sexier to me. ;^)
And you’re right, she wasn’t his daughter. I looked up her photo, and it definitely wasn’t her. I would hope that a stunt like that would’ve had to have been OK’d by her parents. But what do I know? I’m normal. :^P

Harry Connick Jr.’s shoulder-ride for a young “American Idol” audience member during Wednesday’s (April 9) performance episode got plenty of attention. Some viewers (including more than half of the respondents in the poll on this post) deemed his actions inappropriate. Others thought it was fine.
“I am writing to set the record straight for both Harry AND my daughter Nicole,” wrote Javier in a statement forwarded to NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune by “American Idol.” “We had the experience of a lifetime visiting ‘American Idol.’ Harry went into the audience and noticed that my little girl was shorter than everyone else around her and she could not see the stage or the singers. He very kindly asked her if she could see and she said no. He asked her if she wanted him to put her on his shoulders so she could see — Harry is a father of three girls and this is something dads do every day! I was there, and as a mom with keen mom instincts, I can assure you there was nothing wrong with this. Everyone in our section felt the same way. We were all screaming with excitement. He's such a kind man and I didn't feel uncomfortable in any way. Nicole is not accustomed to all the cameras and lights of live TV, but I know she felt very safe with Harry. We are huge ‘American Idol’ fans in our family and had the best time being part of the show in such a fun way.”
