In the pimp spot with another Aretha Franklin song. A rock version of "Chain of Fools". Awesome. No one else is close.
Keith: Killer! You deliver every week. A blues-warrior. You, Caleb, are a rock-n-roll Viking!
Jlo: It's like you've been waiting your whole life for this.
Harry: We know that you're big and loud. We know you know your way around the blues scale. I would love it if you could sing something not loud. (audience boos)
Caleb: (to the audience) That's okay! That's okay! (listens politely to the rest of Harry's review, which is basically Harry complaining--as he always does)
Three things that haven't been mentioned in any of Caleb's intro packages:
1. He's a decent songwriter
2. He's a decent guitar player
3. He's got a nice, smooth voice for the blues, which I think he actually sounds better on than all the classic rock he's been doing on the show.
Caleb could make Harry happy (and maybe a lot of other people too) by performing his original song, "Down to the River" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyMXJM29XOw). Just sit quietly on a stool and accompany himself on the guitar.
Game. Set. Match.
