Thank you, everyone, for letting me know about your Roku experience. I am always daunted by new technology, but I already have the internet and the WiFi, so I may try it.

Jonny, since your parents are about my age and they have no trouble using Roku, that is encouraging.

I miss Netflix and would like to get it back, esp. for the foreign films.

Thanks again.

Any questions re: roku, ask any time. I’m on one year and it’s easy to do. So many channels which are easy to select and if you don’t like, you can remove. So much entertainment. If you can do a post at free republic, you can Roku. Hd 1080 pixels.

If you lose the signal, you just unplug the back of the Roku box, the little plug for count to 12, plug it back in. It's easy to choose your background, to update your settings and if you lose your signal, you go to settings: update connection. You can see it checking off three settings it needs to run.

Worst case scenario you have to go to your wireless router, unplug that at the router in the back for 12 seconds, plug that back in, wait for that to turn back on and then you're back in business. It happens almost never this year. It's year two and pretty consistently no problems.

Netflix has their own icon. After you figure out how to link to your router, you start selecting your channel lineup at the channel store. Netflix is of course a red icon.

You can get your router ID number which is located usually on a sticker on your wireless router. If you need a password, you will need to call your internet provider and ask them for customer id number. If you have Wi-Fi, you already have a customer id number - that should work for the Roku too. That's everything.
