Or coup nord. Yup, went with how it's pronounced in Cajun French.
Probably based on the proper French of " coup de grâce" with "de grâce" replaced with "nord" (north).
But it is pronounced "Kou Nor" down here.

"Kou Nor" is how you pronounce coup nord in standard French. It apparently means "north shot," an appropriate name for such a phenomenon.
