The parents are separated. The mother settled out of court for a million dollars. The father refused compensation, because the trial would never have happened without his involvement. He was a cop too.
“Are you one of these badge polishers who thinks 6 officers with a combined weight of 1,500 lbs are incapable of subduing a 135 lb skinny little mentally ill person without having to smash his face in?”
Well he probably deserved it since when we watch the video he doesn’t obey Ramos’ commands quickly enough or obediently enough. And when you do that you deserve to have your face beaten into a bloody pulp with fists and Taser butts and your chest flattened by 1,500 lbs until your brain dies.
>> “Freepers did not take into account the problems this man;s homelessness caused for him.” <<
.
Nor should we.
There is no excuse for an officer to strike anyone.
They could have tazed or shot him in a leg if they really thought that he was a danger to them. They deserve what they will receive at God’s judgment.
The 2nd degree murder charge was part of today’s verdict. I provided that information from today’s LA Times for you once already on this thread. Try reading it.
Or you can keep repeating your same post over and over if that keeps you happy.

And a really gruesome looking picture showing his face after the beating (very graphic)

Thank you, I did not know that.

You’re sick!
Just another day on the beat, so to speak. That shiny little badge is, indeed, a license to kill.
Well according to B.S., Thomas’ past behavior justified his beating. Never mind that the night in question he was compliant, and sitting with his hands out in front of him, before Ramos told him he was going to f**k him up. But none of that matters according to the badge polishers, because cops have every right to dispense with your rights if you have misbehaved in the past.
These pigs need to be DONE breathing......
One of my former coworkers has a brother who was a Fullerton cop. She used to claim that there were thugs in that department. I always dismissed what she said because I had known her to make ridiculous claims in the past. But after this Thomas case I suspect that for once she knew what she was talking about.

“Thomas, from a video, was often out of control, a big string man. Not, the harmessless transient that was being presently.”
A skinny 135 pound schizo sitting quietly on the curb fiddling with his hair is “a big strong man” “often out of control”.
The justification is: “Resisting Arrest”
As long as a psycho cop is screaming: “STOP RESISTING! “ - He can get away with any kind of abuse, including as we saw in this case, beating someone to death. The judicial system, from the judges, to the prosecution, and even the juries all say: “Well, he didn’t stop resisting, so he deserved to be beaten.” It’s circular reasoning, brainwashed police state thinking, but that’s where we are in today’s America. Don’t take my word for it, look at bunny slippers posts. Perfect example. See article:
“More than a dozen San Jose officers repeatedly used force in resisting arrest cases, probe finds”

I’ve heard the same from others in orange county.
Thanks for the reply, but I just cant bring myself to watch that. I appreciate your offer.
It’s brutal. What’s really sad is afterwards, they are all standing around joking about how Thomas “shit himself.”
- none of these officers have a conscience.
Or could this case be different?
Will the police be further emboldened by this verdict
Hard to believe they cold be more emboldened than they already are.
If I were the family and the citizens of Orange County I would want each of the jurors polled individually to explain their reasoning.
Then I file a civil suit —
