To Serve and To Protect.
“I guess well get to find out. History has shown that thugs operating under color of law merely get bolder over time.”
I guess so. I have to believe there is a limit as to what people will accept though.
No one said this guy was a model citizen. But do you realize he was calm, unarmed and sober, sitting on the ground, when Ramos told him he was gonna f**k him up?
There’s NO justification for police beating any unarmed person to death. NONE.

This is the puzzling part for me. There’s no question in my mind that they killed him, I just don’t understand how they could justify it.
” it sure seemed Freeoers did not take into account the problems this man;s homelessness caused for him.”
I knew homelessness was an eyesore for the rest of us. Didn’t know it was a Capital Crime.
Freepers in SoCal know a lot about the case. Thomas was a homeless schizophrenic man who weighed all of 135 pounds. He had been doing nothing violent or criminal when he was stopped by Officer Ramos for questioning.
Thomas was already known to Ramos. Ramos had Thomas sitting on the curb when Ramos proceeded to put on some vinyl gloves and announced to Thomas “I’m going to f*#& you up”.
Thomas resisted having the hell beat out of him. Ramos was joined by Officer Cicinelli as Ramos was “f*#&ing up” Thomas and they beat him in the head and face with fists and tasers and compressed his chest. Thomas pleaded with them to stop saying that he couldn’t breath and called out for his father to save him.
In the end the courageous duo of Ramos and Cicinelli saved the good citizens of Fullerton from the Great Schizophrenic Threat by beating him to death. Had they not done this Thomas might have spent years offending our sensibilities and digging through garbage cans. We are fortunate to have had this veritable human crime wave stopped in his tracks before he could dumpster dive again.
I’m wondering what the judge’s instructions to the jury were?
“Disregard the video”?
I will agree that no one deserved to die that night. Thankfully Ramos was terminated or left. Ues, he appears to be a rouge officer. People like Thomas should have been forcibly removed from the streets with 92 altercations.
I’d love to know how the jury came down on the verdict.
Did you watch the video???
I was thinking about a wrongful death lawsuit by the family.

That about sums up the badge polishers.
They’re gonna really love when the cops come banging on their doors come gun confiscation time.
I last watched it just days after Kelly was killed. I did not watch or follow the trial.
I see all the officers are EX-officers. And that Ramos still faces a murder trial. Hopefully he will see justice.
I don’t see where there’s a financial lawsuit for an adult with no dependants, and without a guilty verdict in the criminal side, how could they prove wrongful death? Just asking, as I think them getting off scot free is a travesty of justice.
“Im wondering what the judges instructions to the jury were?
Disregard the video?”
It makes you wonder. The jury was instructed to ignore testimony that the officers acted within policy - after a forced records release in chambers. Certainly makes me think they were fired for violated policy. Regardless, there’s no justification that I can see for killing this man.
Ramos faces another trial? ?? Are you sure about that? I think he’s free to look for another law enforcement job at this point. Trying him again would be double jeopardy.
I’ll try and find the link.
BTW, I’m looking over closing arguments and am seeing one of the police trainers saying that the police used the usual techniques.
Also, in closing arguments, it is shown that Thomas never stops fighting and resisting arrest.

The video of Ramos and Cicinelli vs Thomas:
Thomas is first seen fiddling with his hair in an obviously threatening fashion. Fortunately our stalwart defenders of law and order were there to beat down and crush this danger to civilization. Disregard his screams as he is tased and beaten.
This entire town was in an uproar over this case. Councilmen were ousted, the mayor and chief of police fired, 3 officers terminated. And the judge didn’t let the jury know any of these facts. They should have allowed the police records opened to see the light of day. But this is how government runs today, from city hall to Washington DC. Complete secrecy and no accountability whatsoever.
“Ramos faces another trial? ?? “
Not a chance. He was just given his beat-a-man-to-death free card by that jury.
He may have a Federal civil rights trial come his way but he gets to keep the one free murder.

It says “Ramos faces an additional count of 2nd degree murder”. Perhaps you can translate.
