My problem out in the desert is rabbits. They like to eat anything I plant, so I have to erect small enclosures to keep them out. I'm a big fan of coyotes though. They are everyday visitors on my desert acreage, and occasionally I see one pass by with a rabbit in its mouth. Nice to see Nature at work...
I’d rather have the deer than the libs - at least the deer are NORMAL.
We have coy-dogs too. Not too many right in the village, but step 1/4 mile out and there they are. Bob cats too. Lots of bear.
In our village back yards are the deer, turkey, fox, raccoon, opossum. Occasionally a bear does wander thru here - we have a stream on the edge of the property here which they all use.
A bunch of NYers did not buy deer permit this year to protest Cuomo’s gun law, the SAFE Act. So I heard an advertisement a few months ago that there were still a ton of “doe” permits to be had. Usually those go very quickly. My husband sat this year out.
