Self-absorbed social media addicts don't notice that the glow of the smart phone screen is quite distracting in a darkened theater, auditorium, etc. It reflects off of eyeglasses and shiny objects, including jewelry.
True..but the article said this was during the previews and commercials, before the movie began. Generally the theaters don’t dim the lights at that time. It also said that they were making “noise” while texting.
Likely that alcohol and/or drugs are involved...either or both parties..
