I have a 2002 Silverado 3500 dually AWD, has the now hard to get 8.1 Vortec, its a 496 cubic inch gasoholic, but I love having the power when I need it, and its been far cheaper keeping it running than the 2001 Silverado 2500HD I have with the Duramax 6.6 turbo diesel, every single part I swear has to be gold plated. It has a lot of miles but has also had a ton of problems.

I just retired my Chrysler 300M with 186,000 miles on it and other than the AC going out at 160k, the only thing I ever did was oil changes, brake jobs and the scheduled timing belt replacement.

My Scions have been reliable as an electric slot car. Heck, once I discovered ALLPAR in the mid-1990’s, all of my Chryslers were relatively reliable, though I no longer “do” Chrysler. Cars are MUCH more reliable than they were just 20 years ago. The problems you and I are having harken back to the 1970’s when it was just assumed you spent a fair amount of time at auto parts stores, junk yards, and under the hood.
