My mother (77) got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a year ago. I brought her to live with me and got her to stop taking her Lipitor. She was re-diagnosed by a different doctor a couple months ago, and they say now that she doesn’t have Alzheimer’s.

People’s experiences do vary with statins. My 96 YO mother, for example, has been taking statins continuously since Pravachol first came on the market (’88-89, maybe?). It is only now that she is beginning to show early symptoms of Alzheimers, as almost anyone that age would.

PRAISE GOD!

Thanks for caring for your parent. May God Bless you and give you strength.

I took care of both of mine til they passed.

I was glad to do it.
