Bad Pick-Up Lines - Mostly Crap. Just walking up and saying “Hi” will get you a cold shoulder from many of today’s women. They expect to be entertained from the get go, so a funny opening line is a must. A line that a woman considers to be not clever or funny is, by definition, a “Bad Pick-Up Line.”

A friend from college who was very smart vis-a-vis women told me a lesson I have never forgotten.

He said "ultimately, the women control the pickup process. Watch for them to give you a signal and then and only then approach them." The signal might be a demure glance or even a slight smile...something barely noticeable (they require plausible deniability).

The women on this thread might enlighten us on this.

I am a super friendly person (when I am not in recluse mode), and guys read into it way too much - unfortunately I get much unwanted attention.
