When I had a DELL, I never had any problems with tech support. In fact, they even once talked me thru removing the main motherboard when it died then when the replacement came, they talked me thru the reinstallation......

When I had a DELL, I never had any problems with tech support.

I've purchased two Dells in my life. The first one in 1997 which I never had any problems with, and never needed their "tech support." I bought it after purchasing the parts to build my own, but never having the time to do it. For me it was a convenience despite knowing the extra cost to have someone else put it together.

The second Dell I purchased in 1999 and it is the reason why I've built my own computers ever since. In the first thirty days, a hard drive failed, then the power supply, then the monitor sparked and caught on fire on my desktop.

When the IDIOT outsourced Dell Technician wanted me to plug in the monitor to (and I quote) "run diagnostics" I slammed the phone down in complete disgust. I spent the next thirty days after that arguing with Dell Corporate HQ to get a new monitor - which they finally did ship.

No more Dell's here. It'll be a cold day in hell before I buy another Dell, or ANY pre-made PC. I build my own which never give me problems.
