There was little offense because of two good defensive teams. This was not extreme weather: it was well above freezing, no snow, rain was off-and-on, and occasional wind gusts. No big deal. It wasn't September weather, but nothing approaching extreme conditions.
That's why the Super Bowl is so exciting. The AFC is an "offense" league in general, while the NFC has traditionally been defense-oriented.
Always exceptions to the rule, but you don't see that many end of the season NFC games that wind up 45-44, like the Colts/Chiefs.
Frankly I was surprised by the Panthers-49'ers game today.
Last time out I think the Panthers won 10-9.
Kind of glad the 49'ers did win. Seattle didn't play the Panthers this season. They know SF well.
Should be a doozy of a game.
So should the Broncos/Patriots.
