"Hey, little girl, you don't have to hide nothin' no more You didn't do nothin' that hadn't been done before Little girl thought she wouldn't get caught, you see She thought she'd get away with goin' out on me, yeah Other girls did it, you didn't think of nothin' new You went out on me, so other girls did it too You can leave, little girl, I don't want you 'round no more If you come knockin', you won't get past my door... yeah! You got nothin' to hide and everybody knows it's true Too bad, little girl, it's all over for you... ha-ha-ha-ha..."

"The Syndicate of Sound was an American garage band originally from San Jose, California, the band had an edgy style.... In an attempt to sustain their success, the band released singles, like "Keep It Up" but none of them charted. By this time John Duckworth had been drafted into the U.S Army and was replaced by Carl Scott on drums, and John Sharkey had left the group soon after "Mary" was released. After another single "Brown Paper Bag" reached No. 73 on 25 April 1970, the group disbanded...."

Interesting for it’s sardonic words and upbeat delivery. I’m surprised there was no female version of this song. Also, I wonder if there was real-life inspiration.

Heard it before but never paid much attention.
It's actually a very catchy song and a cool video. Now it will be one of those special songs that gets turned up when I'm fortunate enough to catch it on the radio. Thanks.

Brings back memories of KRLA 1110 AM in So Cal, they used to put out some great compilation albums with a lot of songs like this.

And the subtle slide at Free Republic continues.
Can we start requiring brainless posters to explain why they are posting irrelevant crap?

Where have you been? There is a contest among these posters who can start the most threads. This is the main reason behind all the duplicate, triplicate threads about the most trivial matters. It is a secret contest in that the thread starters themselves without any judges consider themselves “winners” by posting these unneeded, irrelevant threads. It is a point of foolish pride to start a thread! That’s my interpretation. Go figure.
