Just curios, have you ever been in that position?
A lot of theory can get tossed out with a little bit of experience.
We use to talk about taking someone off of lifesupport meaning machines keeping their heart and lungs going.
Now, we remove feeding tubes, which is totally different.
I had that situation with my mother.
If her heart and lungs were not working on their own, than we were going to'pull the plug'.
If they were working on their own, keep the tubes in.
If this girl's heart and lungs are working on their own, she should be given food and water.
If someone is brain dead are their heart and lungs going to continue work?
Happen to my sister
First time she walked into hospital went into cardiac arrest 2 times by the 4th day they were pulling the tubes and taking her off of everything. She breath on her own.
2nd time she fell over dead-this was 4 years later. They brought her back.Rushed to see her-no brain activity-she was dead.We waited for the machines to stop with the Chaplin and she went to God.
