So the ACLU is upset that the video was posted?
Can you imagine their rage at the arrests?
The woman was saying “suck my d***” to the kid, trying to get him to say it? WTF?
My heart skipped a beat when I read Omaha police ..... (thinking Obama police).
/Need new eye examine this year soon.
The person who originally put the video online claims to be the boy’s uncle. He is not too pleased with folks upset about the toddler’s environment and the adults who surround him.
He responded. (Graphic language not deleted)
“Man **** all of y’all because the matter of the fact is you act like we was giving that little boy weed or we have a gun in his hand or something bitch no! but I put your ass in an orphanage don’t ever talk on my ******* cousin move around with that **** I don’t give a **** about you, the police or these ************* leaving comments on this ************ so therefore all y’all can **** my **** ******!”
I don’t know what to think of this. Your children swear and so you are an unfit parent and you have your kids taken away? People are stupid with the things they post on you tube, but this seems like a bit of a stretch.
If I teach my kid to say Obama is an idiot (or Bush, or whoever) is that covered under the 1st amendment? What if I teach them to say Obama is a g-damned idiot, or an m-f idiot (or Bush or whoever) does that make me an unfit parent whose children should be removed from my custody?
I’ve got a problem with this, if I’m understanding it correctly.
I in no way condone what those "parents" were doing, but its chilling that the child was taken away because the parents were teaching him to curse and use other foul language. Should someone investigate? Sure. But taking the kid away is just condoning the "state as parent" culture that is developing in this country, where the state has more power to take kids away from parents.
These adults were training the hapless child to be anti-social and verbally abusive.
Ive got a problem with this, if Im understanding it correctly.

Watch the video. You’ll then have no problem.
I understand about the slippery slope you are positing. It is a dangerous step in taking children away from unfit parents who do not conform to normal standards.
But then there is this case. Open and shut case
-— Your children swear and so you are an unfit parent and you have your kids taken away? -—
There is a real distinction.
These parents were TRAINING toddlers to say “suck my ****”, like a parrot.
This fits my conception of child abuse, worthy of State intervention.
Parents teach their children of racism and to be racism. The parent who tells a black child "no white person is EVER gonna look at you the same" is committing child abuse. It is generational and will never "end" until the parents stop indocrinating their children in division and hate.
So much redaction in that post!
I’d suspect their concern is more based on what could be described as verbal abuse by the adults and failure to protect the child from same than over the swearing per se.
they are going to rob this poor child of his culture?
I agree it is stupid (no I didn’t watch the video, maybe I will but I can’t put my sound up right now).
What about the people who will say teaching your children to say the Pledge of Allegiance is bad? What if you teach your children to say it the new pro-life way “with liberty and justice for all, born and unborn”?
Some people (one had an anti-catholic rant about Sonia Sotomayor just the other day) would say you’re fomenting a theocracy if you do that.
If all these parents did is teach their kids bad words, I can’t see that justifying taking their children away. Sure, we all agree suck my **** is bad language, but it’s still a content based judgement.
If there is other neglect or abuse, that is a different story. Perhaps one could make the case that posting this on the internet is exploitative or indicates extremely bad judgment, sufficient that you are such an idiot you shouldn’t have children; but I take it that it was not the parents who posted it.
I remember as a kid having a dirt clod war with my brother and getting hit in the head by a heavy rock instead of a dirt clod. The preacher's kid from 3 blocks away heard me cussing my brother and rode his bicycle down to see what was going on.
But it wasn't my parents that taught me that language, it was my brother.
I'd hate to think that we could have been taken away from our parents because my brother picked up foul language and taught me some.
Did you get the feeling the uncle was holding back on his language?
lolol
I get the idea that family starts out with swearing and cursing rather young.
Monkey See - Monkey Do.
you can get your eyes examined with your ObamaCare card? (be sure to purchase yourself a nice white cane in advance of your appointment, so you can walk home afterwards...)
“But it wasn’t my parents that taught me that language, it was my brother.”
All kids do learn bad language and I admit people do some dumb things with their kids. How many parents teach their kids to say “[team name] s*cks!”
I am very, very hesitant about taking people’s kids away from them; and frankly I’m not at all confident that the state has better places to put them.
Do you have a right to raise your children as YOU see fit, or can you only do it in an approved manner? And if the latter, who is the judge?
Are you entitled to raise your kid to be a commie? a fascist? a white supremacist? a black supremacist?
Because how long before we get from there to saying you can’t raise your kid to be a democrat, a republican, a catholic, an atheist?
Maybe the people involved here need some parenting classes or something, and maybe they opened themselves up to public scrutiny by posting the video on the internet, but, sorry I know I’m repeating myself, absent other abuse or neglect to remove the children from the home is very extreme.
I guess this poor littl tot has many “uncles” — the kind that go into the back bedroom with mom, leave a $20 bill on the night table, and go away satisfied.
And to think that thousands of children are being raised this way by the thugocracy!
Eric Holder will find a way to pardon them all, because they are “his people”.
