Around 2007, I gave a lecture at the Defense Department. One of the attendees presented a scenario suggesting that the problem of Islam was not political but a problem of verbiage.
There was a secret debate happening in the Defense Department and the CIA in which some people thought that all Muslims were a problem, some believed that only al-Qaeida was a problem, and still others thought the Muslim Brotherhood was a problem.
The main problem, however, was that all Islamism was a political threat, but it was the second position that eventually won over the Obama administration. Take note of this; since 2009, if you wanted to build your career and win policy debates, only al-Qaeda was a problem. The Muslim Brotherhood was not a threat; after all, it did not participate in September 11. This view was well-known in policy circles, but it was easy to mistake this growing hegemony as temporary.

Islam in one word is Barbarian.
Regardless of what John Belushi thought, the Germans did not attack us at Pearl Harbor. But that didn't mean they weren't a threat.
It’s hardly a question of the Defense Department and the CIA convincing Obama, the Muslim Brother.
It’s a question of the Defense Department and the CIA figuring out which side their bread is buttered on.
This focus on a particular group of Muslims obscures the fact that the religion itself is the foundation of the threat.
Obama wants to cast Al Qaeda as if they were a gang like the Crips and Bloods. This lets Islam off the hook.
If every member of al Qaeda was eliminated, the problem would still be here .
A Muslim doesn't have to be told by Al Qaeda what to do, when he can get it directly from God by reading the Koran, and following the examples set by Muhammed in the Hadiths.-tom
It's not a religion, it's a political system masquerading as a religion. Calling it a "religion" allows them to skirt laws under the cover of the First Amendment, when they have no right to that distinction.
David Koresh and Jim Jones were not allowed to break laws by virtue of the First Amendment because they were cults. Why should Islam be different?
The US jumped out of its skin back in the 90’s in an effort to rescue muslims in the former Yugoslavia.
We do not see the same effort applied when it comes to stopping the proven persecution of Christians in muslim countries.
Strangely enough, none of our “conservative” talk show hosts or legislators want to be bothered with this subject.
Totally agree.
“but it was the second position that eventually won over the Obama administration”
I.E. that Al Quiada is the “problem”.
BULL.
ISLAM is the problem. As a matter of fact, Al Quaida is just ONE of a multiplicity of homicidal maniac groups like Hamas, etc. who are out to kill any non-Muslim in their efforts to bring back the Khalifate and Islamicize the world.
And, in fact, Islam has spawned NUMEROUS earlier collections of assorted homicidal maniacs in the past, like the Assassins.
AND, even when Islam is NOT doing this, the “mainstream” Islamic States have been involved with enslaving, raping, looting, plundering, murdering, brutalizing, etc, all non-Muslims since its very inception.
Unlike religions such as Christianity, which have had examples of bad social behavior such as the Inquisition, Islam’s BASIC TENETS call for this kind of insanity. While the teachings of the founders of most other mainstream
religions such as Christianity, reflect a deep respect for humanity and are devoid of calls for killing and enslaving, the latter is deeply ingrained in Islamic writings.
Obama is either a closet Muslim or a Muslim apologist and his predecessors were nearly as bad. I am convinced one of the reasons for our involvement in Iraq was at the pressure of the Saudi Sheiks.
Western civilization has to recognize very quickly the danger to 2000 + years of cultural, economic and technological progess posed byy this insanity, or we will soon find ourselves in the same position as the Lebanese Christians, Chaldean Christians, Zoroastrians, Bahais, Copts and other religious groups suffering today as persecuted minorities under the filthy sandals of Islamic savages.
Islam is evil. Allah is Satan. The objective of Islam is for evil to rule the world. No other views are to be tolerated.
I understand Islam. It is really pretty simple.
Considering that lack of brains of most "Americans" these days, I wonder if that is a bad idea?
