In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

b : a loose widespread community based on common social institutions
c : comity of nations

2. : avoidance of proselytizing members of another religious denomination

Erin Durkin, NY Daily News, October 28, 2013
Etymology:
Latin comitat-, comitas, from comis courteous, probably from Old Latin cosmis, from com- + -smis (akin to Sanskrit smayate he smiles). First Known Use: 1543
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
I used “It’s like those French have a different word for everything” the other day, too.
Now you’re just showing off, ROR!
My new favorite hockey player to follow just joined your team. He has a pet bunny who also tweets. Zenon Konopka is hilarious. I highly recommend his and #hoppylife’s tweets.
You think Christie is going to be amenable to rand and ted?
Think you meant that for t5.
Totes adorbs how you get each other’s jokes ; )
So, like 3.14159 / tau?
Maybe if you had smoked a little pot in college you would recognize a Steve Martin reference. ;-)
My life is happy and fulfilled without altering my mind in any way. I have seen Steve Martin movies but I do not re watch movies hence don’t memorize dialogue. You two get off on it so it’s nice you have each other.
No. They will cause problems for him.
But his stumping..wil kick the f@@king door open, for more like them, so most spats will be contrived....
The age of the milquetoast Republican, is over, and he is Sir Lancelot...
I don’t think Christie would be amenable to Rand and Cruz-or Lee, or even Rubio, for that matter-and they likely won’t be amenable to an inappropriately rude, scolding nanny who doesn’t even follow his own rules and who appears to practice mafia politics.
Happily, Cruz and Rand have no problem opening a can of whoopass when necessary, and I doubt that Rubio or Lee would mince words either-but none of them seem to be into the godfather/Soprano thing, and Cruz seems to have better courtroom manners.
It’s that whole over 140 thing.
To be fair...I haven’t had Dave.
He checks his drinks for ruffies
I watch a movie on TV now and then-a usually a comedy/romantic comedy, and always Star Trek or Pride and Prejudice. It’s Complicated, which I referenced yesterday is a recent RC with Steve Martin that was funny. The movies that are heavily advertised almost always leave me either down or finding something to watch on H2, science channel, animal planet, etc halfway through the movie...
I still think Lancelot is rude and needs an ass kicking...
This demimonde group of WFTD certainly set a great comity of humor, a vortex of jokes that cannot be escaped.
3 days worth... sorry, i’ve been real busy in office.
Pounds?
I was joking. This is from his comedy album. That’s when he first became famous. I was ten and not smoking pot.
I guess you were never a ten year old boy. ;-)
