“Saturday Night Live” has hired comedian Sasheer Zamata as a new cast member for the late-night comedy sketch show, a spokeswoman for network NBC said on Monday, months after the program was criticized for a lack of diversity among its female cast.
Zamata, who stars in her own internet comedy series “Pursuit of Sexiness,” will be the first African-American female cast member since Maya Rudolph left “Saturday Night Live” in 2007.

This will be a “jumping the shark” moment for SNL.
Once they start hiring for reasons of diversity instead of talent all bets are off.

This morning I heard part of one of her “routines” on the radio (a Charlottesville station was touting the fact that she graduated from UVA).
I concluded that she was not hired for her comedic talent.

Has there ever been an Asian cast member?
This is not just happening on SNL, have you noticed the sudden increase in black actors in TV commercials? I think that the ad agencies who accept Public Service Announcements PSA’s are being extorted by the criminals in the Obama regime to put more blacks in ads.

Blacks in advertisement has increased exponentially in the last 10 years. I always chuckle when I see the local alarm company commercials with a white perp and a black family. I’m equally amused when all of the high end jewelry store and auto lot commercials feature black families.
Statistically speaking, a black “family” with an actual married mother and father is almost unheard of. Couple that with the staggering black unemployment numbers and the high likelihood of familial failure in the black communities, and it becomes clear that the point of putting blacks in advertisements is to prevent the advertisers of being accused of racism.
Meanwhile, white men are being portrayed as criminals and incompetents in commercials and TV shows, but you don’t hear a hue or a cry from white men.
I guess I started saying it after Haley Berry claimed she was the first black woman to win an academy award. Then the camera panned over and they showed her anglo-white mother!
Whaat? Looks like there’s more in that family tree than BLACK.
Halfrican is not used to be inflammatory, only descriptive.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where comics will not be judged by the color of their skin but by how funny they are.
