How did you ever get him to sit still?
Mine is 4-1/2 years old and, I swear to you, he has ADHD!
He kills and eats little animals and birds that get into our backyard and he is one Hell of a watchdog. The watchdog part is OK but we have six cats who actually liked dogs before we got him as a puppy. He has terrorized those old cats.

Goldens appear to have somewhat variable temperments.
I had one who was a terrible watchdog, pretty good around cats, great around kids, but had a dominance problem with other dogs and didn’t like porcupines (only twice, though).
What breed is he?
Some breeds were made for working, and if you don’t exercise them enough to exhaust them, they will be hyper all day long.
