The ‘good’ cops will never understand this. Any group will always be labeled by the worst behavior they allow among their own. And cops are very tolerant of criminal cops. Don’t want to clean house? Then don’t complain about your reputation being tarnished.
The old “a few bad apples” comes to mind.
Problem is, a few cause the rest to rot too, if you don’t toss them immediately.
