“Maybe she’ll stop peeing out the front window”.
LOL :)
Well, without video and documentation, looks like you're pooping in the wind.
My dog poops in circles. He poops a bit, scoots forward and rotates CCW ... always CCW. He can do this for quite a while. He makes a little fairy circle out of DS.
Then he runs into the kitchen and stares at the dog snack jar and smacks his lips.
My beagle transacts his solid business at least twice per day.
70 dogs × 2 poops/day × 365 days/year × 2 years = 102, 200 poops
Yet they only include 1900 poops into their dataset. Then, they mysteriously exclude poops taken, when the earths magnetic field is not calm. Sounds like they were taking advice on data collection from climate scientists.
Is it in the direction of the earth's rotation?

I’m sorry for the lack of documentation.
My new research grant to explore at what sub-zero temperatures dogs are most attracted to frozen turds is taking all my time.
“My dog poops in circles...”
Our Boston Terrier used to do this. She would twirl as fast as she could and the poop would fling out and form a circle. We used to call them “crap circles” (instead of crop circles). Weird, huh?!
Politicians did the same thing during the civil war .....
Just goes to prove that dogs, who usually point their noses into the wind and while keeping their bottom ends downwind, have more common sense than a whole “team of European scientists”, lol. But then they’ve probably never trailed a rabbit or even pooped in the woods.

Not that strange really ... It’s how Stonehenge was created.
If you try this test yourself, you have to do it away from your home at a place that isn’t part of your dogs routine.
You obviously need to duct-tape a few magnets along your dogs spine lol!
:)
If a dog poops in the woods, and no one is around, does it still smell?
DS +1. Owning several dogs, I have scientifically noted that they do their dump in what ever direction they are pointing unless they are marking territory. Then, they sniff around and dump in what ever direction that they are pointing.
I have been thinking about the dog poop subject since yesterday (yes Christmas is over and I don’t have much to do).
I think it is a self protection thing. They want to make sure that another dog does not come up and attack them from behind while they are pooping.
See how simple that was? You just have to think about something for about 24 hours and there you have it!
the wealth of data suggests that dogs actively try to avoid pooping on the dreaded east-west axis
and that direction is towards Mecca.
Well our dog Buddy who has no class whatsoever tends to align himself in the street right in front of our neighbor’s driveway and his axis turns at will. :-)
